Meeching Amateur Dramatics

Hi Folks. I recently interviewed three members of the cast of Are you being Served in place of Bob Peedle who was unfortunately ill at very short notice.
I enjoyed the hour on radio interviewing them and was impressed and entertained by their infective enthusiasm.

I went to see the production yesterday (Thursday) and was pleased to see a lengthy queue and a virtually full house.Having been told that the company was going through a difficult time financially I was happy to see it.

I had a fantastic evening of entertainment and enjoyed it hugely. The acting was great, the set was imaginative and the lighting/sound effect crew hit their cues consistantly.

It would be easy to overplay innuendo and double entendre in this production and I was pleased to see that the balance was spot on and never laboured.

Memories of Garry's lederhosen will stay with me for some time, real belly laugh stuff!!

I left with a spring in my step having had a great evening of entertainment. I hope that the box office takings have been sufficient to allow you to keep going in your present form.You deserve to succeed.
